Owning and operating a fraternity house is an expensive proposition. Although rents are sufficient to meet ordinary operating expenses, frequently the house requires extensive capital improvements. Most notably, the new house at 918 College Avenue requires painting, and we will be required to pave the driveway and parking areas under City of Houghton ordinances. Additionally, retiring our loans will allow us to devote more money to supporting the undergraduate chapter through scholarships and grants.
Your donation to the Corporation will help us maintain and improve the quality of the fraternity experience for our undergraduate brothers. In conjunction with the Phi Phi Zeta Alumni Association, you can make a donation to a memorial for Doc Berry here, using a credit card or direct debit from your bank account. All funds collected will be forwarded to the Alumni Association for the sole purpose of establishing some sort of memorial to Doc and his service to Lambda Chi Alpha at the new House.
